About Us

Transitioning to greatness

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide professional training for the development of skills needed for individuals to effectively transition into the community and become a productive part of our society.

Our Vision

Excel Beyond Reach's Adult Day Center, Inc., a Christian, community based, human service agency, is committed to enhancing the quality of life and personal growth of those we serve through support for individual choice and independence. Our goal is to foster hope, change, renewal, healing and wellness for those who face challenges of mental health, physical and intellectual disabilities.

Our History

HistoryEBRGH of Jax was founded in 2017 because of a very special young woman by the name of Jasmine. Jasmine was born with intellectual disabilities. However, she refused to let her disabilities hold her back. Jasmine has become an outgoing, hardworking, social butterfly. Living independently and working two jobs (Goodwill and Publix) are challenging for Jasmine, but very rewarding. Watching the transition in Jasmine, inspired a vision in her mother to help others to reach similar goals. Her mother gathered a group of family members, friends, concerned teachers, and other parents dedicated to improving the lives of their intellectually disabled adult. Together they begin to form an organization to help special needs adults to venture out into a life of independence.

Many individuals with intellectual, physical and acquired disabilities over the age of twenty-three are confined to their parents’ homes. Usually, they continue to age and have little to no social interaction with friends. We believe all individuals deserve the opportunity to engage in their community to their highest ability and personal level of comfort. It is our mission: to offer new skills, provide vocational training through internships with neighboring companies, help in seeking competitive employment, volunteer opportunities, daily activities including arts and crafts, teach gardening skills, training to ride the JTA transit system and other transportation systems appropriately, incorporate health and wellness programs, teach independent living skills, and offer a little social interaction. Our end goal is to maximize the potential of the people we serve to help them lead productive, meaningful lives.

EBRGH of Jax is a newly formed IRS approved non-profit 501 c 3 organization. Our success will depend on support from it’s directors, the community, donations, grants, company sponsorships, in-kind donations and fundraising. “You cannot hope to build a better world without improving the individuals. To that end, each of us must work for his own improvement and, at the same time, share a general responsibility for all humanity, our particular duty being to aid those to whom we think we can be most useful.” Marie Curie
